About       Publications       Statistics Tutorials

This is the website of Bodo Winter, cognitive science graduate student at the University of California, Merced. I do research within the areas of experimental semantics, pragmatics, gesture and language evolution. Among other things, I study semantic change: How do words develop new meanings? What explains cross-linguistic regularities in how meanings change?

I have a side interest in teaching contemporary statistical methods and data analysis techniques. I write tutorials about R and mixed models, and I give statistics workshops on these topics.
